IDS - COMPREHENSIVE BUSINESS DATABASE
The Irish Business Data Set contains over 200,000 records of virtually every business in the entirety of Ireland. The database includes all businesses small, medium and large, in industrial, manufacturing, construction, distribution, retail, catering, transport, financial, telecommunications, business services, leisure and public sector.
The main sources of information for the database come from newspapers, magazines, exhibitions, seminars, government authorities, "street walkers" and other sources where company information is available within the public domain. The database is updated daily by telephone.
Businesses on the database are classified according to the 1992 SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) code system as determined by the Office of Research and Statistics. This hierarchical system has over 700 different classifications for you to choose from allowing you to tailor the database to suit your particular need.
All records contain address details and postal sort codes, actual employee numbers, phone, fax, e-mail, web site, and contact names of senior management where available. Each of the 200,000 records is Geo-coded with a detailed Irish grid Co-ordinate. This enables the data set to be inserted into all modern GIS systems for immediate micro marketing.
